Oh Sure, This Will End Well

ahmadinejad and chavez.jpg

“We feel at home
here and among our brothers … we’re going to be together until the
end,” Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told his Venezuelan
counterpart Hugo Chavez during a visit to Latin America on Wednesday.

Both leaders roundly denounced US “imperialism,” and Chavez also called Israel “a murderous arm of the Yankee empire.”

The Jerusalem Post

Was anyone else consumed by the heebie-jeebies while reading that little clip?  Okay, good.  Glad it’s not just me.

This odd world political pairing is akin to Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger teaming up on a spooky Friday night while unsuspecting horny high school kids party in a remote campground nearby.

In other words, it’s gonna get messy.

And here I thought the only ‘murderous arm of the Yankee empire’ belonged to a big portly fella by the name of Sabathia, backed by a pair of oversized pinstriped pants for an oversized caboose insured for around $161 million.

Yes, dear readers, I think it is safe to say that Ahmadinejad and Chavez are secret members of the Red Sox Nation.

Hate me ‘cuz I expose the truth, just don’t hate me ‘cuz I’m right.

Peace,

Jeff

I read that and thought the same thing you did – that Chavez was talking about the Yankees! Sheesh, those two together are not a couple I’m rooting for. Maybe for your next mission, Jeff, you could find a way to break them up.

Dunno about Sabathia…I’d think the murderous arm of the Yankee Empire is Mo Rivera. But that’s beside the point.
Imperialism? It’s possible. Sometimes it seemed like our deluded ex-president’s only policy…and to put a truly hypocritical Yankee stamp on that: that’s living in the past, which is the way of many a Yankee fan.

Maybe they are talking about the Rays new Venezulean complex!
Just kidding, but it is a fun association game where maybe he is a Dodger Blue guy.
But you never know in the game of politics, because who would have thought a White Sox fan would get in the White House either.
Love the Jason Freddy analogy. But I am thinking more Megoshark versus Giant Octopus. One wants to squueze the life out of you, and the other just wants to go on a frenzy.
Should be a fun friendship.

Maybe they each just needed a hug? Let the fun begin…

Now we all knew the Yankees had a ‘murderous arm’ although not sure I see it being Sabathia, there’s something about a guy that gets his pants from MC Hammer’s tailor, I half expect him to break into a dance routine when he’s on the mound, especially when they go to the camera from center field…. there’s just too many similarities about his wind up and MC Hammer trying to dance…:-) Phillies season tickets right? LMAO

Jane — That’s a mission I’d take on… but I better get paid.
Cici — I’m with ya. It’s hard to stomach all the double standards inherent in Yankeedom.
RR — Megoshark sounds like something an ex-girlfriend of mine would call me. LOL.
Jenn — Hugs! Yes! Lots of ‘em!
Peter — Okay, if ya wanna pay for my airfare back and forth to Philly, I’ll take Phillies season tix ;-)
