And here I thought it was because Jeter was named SI Sportsman of the Year. Shows ya what I know!
As a girl, I really don’t find Derek Jeter attractive (gasp!). I prefer David Wright. And not just because I’m a Mets fan. There’s also Xavier Nady and Josh Thole that I prefer over Derek Jeter.
But it really is hard for me to think much of a Yankee.

I think “being Derek Jeter” must be the coolest job in the world. He’s like the most popular guy in high school with the prettiest cheerleader girlfriend. The fact that he’s a Yankee only enhances his appeal.
