Sounding the Alarm
As though any further proof was needed that we live in a crazy, mixed-up world, I submit the following:
Miguel Cabrera has an alcohol problem but says he feels like a new man after a stint in rehab.
Kyle Farnsworth has somehow avoided resorting to alcoholism and even has a legitimate shot at becoming a starting pitcher.
I don’t mean to sound the alarm too early but if these two events taken together aren’t a sign of the apocalypse, I’m not sure what is. Baseball: Drama as compelling off the field as on.

As a White Sox fan, I would love to see nothing more, then my favorite relief pitcher of all time have to go 6 or 7 innings in a Royals uniform. Oh how sweet it might be!!
Kyle Farnsworth is a Freddie Kruger surprise party in a baseball uniform.

Too bad Cabrera got hooked on drugs. He was and still is a good player, and if he could stop his off the field antics, it would make him that much better. Hope the rehab has made him a better guy.

Someone in my department just came back to work in crutches after being off for four days. He got hit by a drunk driver on Valentines Day. He is lucky to be alive.
.
I hope Miguel straighten his act
