Jeff introduces Chicago rock phenom and avid Cubs fan, Johanna Mahmud to the RSBS family. When not front-manning the intoxicating alt-rock group, Meqqa, Johanna manages to drink Jeff’s beer and fantasize about a team made up of twenty-five Alfonso Sorianos. Okay. That second part may be a lie… but this part ain’t: when these two guys start talkin’ baseball, it’s all fun and games. Among the topics of discussion: Roy Oswalt’s bulldozer, Lou Piniella’s preggers look, the Brendan Ryan pornostache hysteria, Hanley’s lollipop and much, much more.

Only the Red State/Blue State crew would dig deep into the bowels of the multimedia and produce not only a entertaining but informative podcast of epic proportions.
Next will come the EP with the title song to the podcast and a secondary selection.
But people order now, they will get a set of Jeff’s used Ginzu knives, a additonal copy of the “Jesus Hates the Cubs” video and as an extra bonus….An hour of Alan telling us why Justin Verlander is a prophet dressed as a baseball player.

So I figured I would listen and comment at the same time… Jeff, we can’t smell anything on the podcast, so you can drink, eat or make smells of your choice without worry…. okay you gotta get over the fact that the LOLstros swept your guys… your just picking on Oswalt… yeah he might punch you…doh! see now we need vision too… I wanna see that technicolor yawn… okay you need visuals.. maybe it’s time to achieve a goal of MLBSoup…. you know like ‘WebSoup’ or ‘The Soup’ or ‘Tosh.O’ yep definitely we should campaign to MLBNetwork and get a fans show MLBSoup…. there we go the POO-Holes sound like that even when you say it…

Thanks, Jeff. You just fed into another major geek realm for me: Podcasts! Love ’em! Got plenty of friends and acquaintances doing them – to varying degrees of success and mayhem.
It sounds good. You and Johanna had no qualms about speaking your mind (just like the MLBlog). Love the flow between you two. Not gonna jump in on what you said, though – or, correct you. The Pinella imitations are hilarious, though!
One suggestion: on iTunes, if you’re gonna curse, put up the Explicit Content codon for the podcast page. You can toggle it on your settings – somewhere. I’ll ask a podcaster friend about it…
Kudos, Jeff…now, when will Allen get on the second mic? I’d to hear that conversation!
