Operation Plan C

Zack Greinke 3.jpgUh oh.  Don’t look now, Evil Empire, but the Yankees probably aren’t going to be successful in Plan B now that the shirt untucking Brewers have jumped in and made a deal for Zack Greinke.  And since the only other arm out there not attached to a ticking time bomb (*ahem* Carlos Zambrano) is Carl Pavano, well, that leaves the Yankees… er… in quite an uncomfortable situation.

Ready to entertain creative alternatives to mend their starting rotation holes, Cashman and company have taken to the teeny bopper concert scene.  Indeed, a young arm stuck in the sea of puberty is just ready to make his (or her) debut:

More accurate than Joba.  And probably a lot less annoying.

I say go for it.

Hate. Me. Just don’t hate me ‘cuz I’m right.

Peace,

Jeff

I never expected the Yankees to go after Greinke, but the Brewers? I thought he was all about playing for a contender. Oh well. Cashman needs a Plan C, D and Z.

I think the entire world was blind sided by this move. Its great for the Central counterpart and it definitely gives a new outlook on the division. Dudes good. The Brew Crew needed to make a splash to avenge last years horrid season and they certainly did.

The Yankees are better off not getting Greinke. He’d be a basket case in NY; he might be a basket case in Milwaukee!!

Jane — Hasn’t worked out for the Yanks thus far, but I’m not worried about them. They’ll get ‘er done.
Matt — I agree… though, as a Cards fan, I wanna be greedy.
Prince — I agree. Gonna be more of the same (pain and suffering) in Milwaukee for him I think.

Jeff, you mentioning Zambrano and Jane going with plan Z, well maybe Z is in the cards, for the Yankees, not the Cards. Who knows what is going to happen. It has been crazy so far.

A friend of mine from St Louis (yes, a Cardinal friend) is coming over to watch the Rose Parade. She has been here before to watch her Cardinals. We will also go to Soup’s Grill (Jeff Suppan’s restaurant). He has old St Louis stadium seats in the wait area and is nicely decorated with lots of baseball memorabilia. Only been there once back when he was with St Louis before he went to the Brewers. He was very nice then and gave us a nice tour.
