ALLEN KRAUSE bio: Allen is a great friend and a great fan of the greatest game on Earth. Though he roots for an inferior team, I respect his ability to analyze and process facts and figures as they are--the Truth. Despite all of this he is a bit stubborn and stupid when it comes to the Cardinals' whomping of the Tigers in the 2006 WS, but hey, no one's perfect. I had the pleasure of meeting Allen back in Kalamazoo, Michigan, during our college years where we tried our hardest to destroy ourselves. Luckily we got through that and are still alive today. On a serious note, Allen is one of the smartest and well-informed people I know. I don't hate him because he likes Murakami's "Wind-Up Bird Chronicle". Allen has lived a very diverse life that started in small-town Michigan and ended up in Washington DC by way of Chicago, Cameroon (the country) and New York City. This arena of RED STATE BLUE STATE will prove just how desperate he is to see his team win a World Series again. _________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________ JEFFERY LUNG bio: Jeff, although almost two weeks younger than Allen, is like the evil twin brother for which everyone seeks. The only white person who speaks Chinese better than most Chinese people, Jeff never ceases to amaze. However, sometimes that amazement is due to his seemingly pathological inability to recognize the superiority of the Detroit Tigers and accept that they would have been the 2006 MLB champions if it wasn't for their error prone pitching staff. A current resident of the south side of Chicago, Jeff spent a few years in China including a couple of those as a Fulbright Scholar. Yeah, my boy is wicked smah't. Hopefully this blog will showcase his usually flawless critical thinking skills and at the end of 162 regular season games and a balls out postseason, we'll both revel in the genius that is Dave Dombrowski. And Barack Obama.
